Each piece is hand-painted with different varieties of sea flora and fauna. The Suttons lived in Harlem at the corner of Seventh Avenue and 135th Street and moved to New Rochelle by 1899. Their cousin, Effingham Sutton, was responsible for developing Sutton Place about 1875.
