Pair of colorless cut lead glass candlesticks; baluster vase-shaped candle socket with bobeche with upturned rim cut with band of strawberry diamonds on body and fans on bobeche joined by cut wafer to hollow cylindrical stem with cut with design of interlocking circles with strawberry diamonds joined by faceted wafer to panel-cut pedestal base with a flat plinth in the shape of an eight-pointed star.

According to the accession records, this candlestick is Irish, but its provenance and similarity to ther pieces of Brooklyn glass from the Corse family at the NYHS suggest that it may be a product of the Brooklyn Glass Works.
