Description: 
Aquamarine cologne bottle; deep, straight-sided square base with chamfered corners and sunken label panel on one side and sunken panels with high relief building with three arches; each side of body of bottle decorated with relief image of fountain between columns; shoulders slope to neck; flanged lip; pontil mark.

This bottle is thought to be a replica of a Paris fountain and may have ben an import from France. It may also have been one of the fountain colognes recorded in Solomon Stranger's Glassblower's Book of 1848/49 or one of those listed in the price list of the Williamstown Glass Works of N.J. (see publications).
