Colorless pressed lead glass dish; circular form with plain edge; sunburst at center of well, on frosted ground, surrounded by circle of raised (pointed) circles; on interior rim, four concentric fields, each with a different pattern: running garland composed of dots, shield-like motif repeating along interior rim, and drape pattern embellished by raised dots; ridged pattern on edge.

Colorless pressed lead glass oil lamp; domed, flaring cup-shaped font with four identical naturalistic molded grape vines; font joined with wafer to hexagonal baluster standard mounted on hexagonal base; brass collar and cap with splayed wick tubes and caps.

The domed top of this lamp's font was formed by using the Magoun Patent method. This method, invented by Joseph Magoun of the New England Glass Company in 1847, eliminated moldmarks by using a hinged, three-part mold to form the sides of the font and a one-piece cylindrical mold to form a cylinder that was then tooled to form the dome.
