Wrought silver bowl; deep, bowl-shaped body with a molded rim and a plain circular foot; engraved on the front center with unidentified arms, in a shield, gules cross on a gold ground (spotted) with three birds in each quadrant, surmounted by an armor helmet, a prince's crown and two paws, on holding a ring, surrounded by foliage; engraved on the base, "A token of affectionate esteem to/ Frank Knight Sturgis./ From his associates on the/ Governing Committee of the/ Stock Exchange/ A. D. MCMXIV" in script; maker's marks stamped on the base.
