Cut and etched glass pickle jar with a cast and seamed silver plated stand; cylindrical jar with the base cut in the shape of a sixteen pointed star; convex shoulders with a short cylindrical neck and a flat lip; demi-ovals cut around the bottom of the jar; band of ovals with foliate scrolls below and dots above etched around the upper portion of the jar; bublbous, circular stopper lid with a circular depression in the center and an etched band of ovals around the edge; seated in a cylindrical stand formed of two rings, bottom ring with applied base, with three cast, Classical Roman soldiers bust medallions between; upper ring has an applied, scalloped apron; two caast, squared c-handles applied to the sides of the stand; stand applied to three cast, turned legs; legs applied to a stepped circular base; makers' marks on the base of the stand.
