Description: 
Rectangular wooden medicine chest with flat, hinged lid, dovetailed corners, leather mounts on each side (handles missing), two hooks to close lid, and two drawers stacked on top of each other, with metal pulls and metal latch to prevent drawers from falling out; upper section of chest (above drawers) divided into compartments of various sizes containing cylindrical pewter apparatus with wooden handle, twelve colorless glass apothecary bottles blown in a mold with narrow mouth, rounded shoulders, square base with pontil mark, and pressed glass stoppers (one larger, six medium, and five smaller), seven stoneware jars, identical in form, one larger than others, with straight sides and nonexistent neck, canvas sack sewn shut (with paper label), and case with cardboard compartments; first drawer contains metal (possibly copper) spatula, iron utensil with spatula and bowl, and set of brass weights with translucent pans (possibly horn); second drawer contains eleven seventeenth-century style pewter spoons with circular bowls and straight rectangular handles.
