The movement began after September 11, 2001 with the suspicion of some that the government was covering up key information about the terrorist attacks. Carol Brouillet, publisher of Deception Dollars, is a political activist and organizer, Green Party candidate for the United States House of Representatives in California's 14th congressional district, and a leader of the 9/11 Truth Movement. Over seven million of her dollars are circulating, collected in the San Francisco Bay area and beyond.
