Wooden soldier jointed with metal rivets and washers so that limbs can be moved, with groove carved in top of head for detachable hat (missing), grooves in hands for holding flagpole (missing), and grooves in bottom of feet for securing figure to oblong wooden base (missing); soldier's body covered with lithographed paper depicting uniform of Continental army of 1776.
