Circular metal pin-back badge with an eagle at top and stylized "fringe" coming to a point at the bottom; Inscribed around edge of the circle: "ASS'N OF EXEMPT FIREMEN/ 23RD WARD N.Y. CITY" and at bottom "132." Central image of fire helmet, ladder, horn and flags encircled by "rope" border.
