Circular mixed-metal pin-back badge with eagle at top and decorative tapered bottom. Inscribed around central circle with "VOLUNTEER FIREMENS ASSOCIATION/ N.Y. CITY." Gold colored center with image of helmet, horns and ladder surrounded by "rope" border. Inscribed "983" at bottom outside of circle.
