Description:
Fifteen baptismal favors each consisting of silk ribbon with gold coin or metal tokens attached to end; ribbon printed with name and birthdate (in Spanish).
Gallery Label:
These baptismal favors are dated between 1858 and 1866. Most have a period coin attached, either a U.S. half dime or a U.S. dollar coin. A note found with the favors reads: "Alfredo Federico Coffigny, a cousin of Emily Buch, the sister of Emilie Buch (Ysabel) married Eugenie Coffigny / Alfredo died in Havana in 1901-2..."
