Wrought silver bowl, deep, bowl-shaped body on a cast, applied molded foot; applied, molded band around the rim; engraved on the front center, "G C in foliate script; engraved on the base around an X, "1/ 7/ 3/ 4"; no maker's mark.
Gallery Label:
This bowl belonged to George Clinton (1739-1812), the first Governor of New York.
