Description:
Rectangular wooden box and lid (possibly for holding writing utensils?) with rounded corners, covered with dark lacquer, with golden flecks; top of lid decorated with black and silver checkerboard pattern on one side and star-shaped area filled with gilded grasses and other plant life on other side.
