Description:
This cardboard box held a removable collar. It is dark blue with gold printing on the lid with an "RT" monogram in the center and reads "Ray's Patent/ Cloth/ Imitation Collar./ Patented May 1st 1866". A label on the side reads in red on white "P 14 Cloth Imitation Collars/ Licensed by the/ Union Paper Collar Co.". The bottom label lists all applicable patent dates from 1854-1866.
