Description:
Oval cameo brooch comprising image of female bust with Romantic coiffure; 50 small pearls adorn the frame;crystal compartment on reverse containing woven brown textile (possibly hair); inscriptions engraved on reverse; pin attachment.

According to the accession notes, this brooch was given as a wedding present by the Reverend Dr. Robert Campbell Matlack to his wife, Clara Heilman, the aunt of the donor.
