Brown on tan, around outside: "BUTTON OF THE MONTH / JAN. 1950 / LABOR YOUTH LEAGUE". In center, three sets of brown and tan clasped hands "BURY / JIM / CROW" with image of gravestone. Inside on paper, "REGAL / EMBLEM. CO / N.Y.C." with union bug.

The Labor Youth Leauge (LYL) was founded in 1949. It was a left-wing political organization with ideological ties with the Communist Party. Although the League attempted to gain adherents among the working class, its strength was largely on college campuses.
