Bronze struck medal with obverse depicting nude bust of George Washington facing right with legend: "GEORGE WASHINGTON./BORN FEB. 22 1732. DIED DEC. 14 1799". Reverse depicts bust of Washington surmounting display of medals in the mint cabinet; legend within corded border: "WASHINGTON CABINET OF MEDALS. U.S. MINT/INAUGURATED FEB. 22 1860".
