Description:
Cast and wrought Sheffield plate cake basket; rectangular, boat-shaped body with a stepped and molded rim; applied, cast gadrooned band around the rim; seated on a rectangular base with straight side and an applied, cast gadrooned band; reeded loop handle with applied acanthus leafs in the center and cylindrical hinges; no maker's marks.
