Description:
Stamped sheet metal campaign pendant; inscribed along the outside "HARRISON-REID AND PROTECTION/1892"; inscribed at center "PROTECTION'S/BANNER GUARDS OUR/LAND, FROM ENGLAND'S/REED AND PAUPER PAY/AND WHEN I PLAY/GREAT BRITAIN'S HAND/PLEASE TAKE ME FOR A BLOOMING/JAY"; pendant hangs from wire placed in a whole at the top.

Benjamin Harrison (1833-1901) served as the twenty-sixth president of the United States along with his vice president Levi P. Morton (1824-1920). Harrison ran again in 1892 with Whitelaw Reid (1837-1912) as his running mate but was defeated by Grover Cleveland.
