Description:
Two copper wick ovoid camphene lamp attached to saucer base with C-shaped handle; saucer rim and middle of ovoid decorated with rows of bead; pewter wick covers attached by metal chains.
Gallery Label:
This is probably a camphene lamp because of the longer wicks. Camphene lamps were generally used in 1845-1850.
