Description:
Amethyst lead glass candlestick; blown and pattern molded with sixteen ribs; tooled ovoid socket with wide, flaring rim; collar at bottom of socket joined to hollow standard with two knops and an inverted baluster leading to a domed base with a wide, flaring rim with folded edge; pontil mark.
Gallery Label:
The lack of wear on the base of this candlestick indicates that it may be a twentieth century reproduction of an earlier form.
