marked: maker's mark in blue underglaze, "vduyn" (Van Duijn) with V and D joined together is probably the mark of Jan Van Duijn, who operated the Porseleine Schotel (the Porcelain Dish) factory, Delft. His mark was registered in 1764. - LG 3/19/08

Octagonal tin-glazed earthenware canister; with two molded handles and lid with bird finial; blue underglaze floral decoration.
