Description:
Black silk cape with a short round collar trimmed with jet beads and black braid; two arm openings with short round sleeves trimmed with jet beads and black braid; three decorative buttons with embroidered covers sewn on the opening over the breast.
Gallery Label:
This cape was part of the trousseau of Charlotte Esther Wilcox (1823-1907), the donors' grandmother, who married John B. Wilcox in 1854.
