This picture, depicting a naval encounter of the War of 1812, represents the American privateer schooner Dolphin, 10 guns, Captain W.S. Stafford, capturing the British ship Hebe, 16 guns, Captain W.A. Brighan, and her consort, the brig Three Brothers, 10 guns, off Cape St. Vincent on January 25, 1813.
