Description:
William and Mary chest of drawers with oak frame and pine drawer fronts; slightly projecting top with applied molding; four side hung drawers, the top and bottom larger than middle two; drawers have applied moldings which make each one look like two drawers side by side; moldings form rectangles with points projecting inwards from sides; larger drawers have wide, angled strips around moldings; brass drop handles; blind brass escutcheons at center of each drawer; drawers single dovetailed with rabetted drawer runners on side; applied base moldings on front and sides; turned bun feet in front (possibly later).

According to records, this chest of drawers is one of a group of Boston area chests with large drawers at top and bottom. It was originally painted red and black.
