Bronze struck medal with obverse depicting nude bust of Chester A. Arthur facing right with legend: "CHESTER A. ARTHUR." Reverse bears inscritpion at center, surrounded with open laurel wreath: "INAUGURATED/SEPTEMBER 20/1881", with legend: "PRESIDENT OF THE UNITED STATES."
