Description:
Heavy yellow wool flannel frock coat with stand-up collar, cuffs, a pocket at the hip on each side with pocket flaps, 10 thread-covered buttons down the front, pleated tails; lined with natural-colored linen.
Gallery Label:
According to a tag left on this coat, it was worn by Stephen Titus, father of Phebe Taber and Ruth Haviland. The note claimed that "for many years it hung on the whirligig in the old brick garret."
