Description: 
Dark blue wool double-breasted Grand Army of the Republic coat with double collar, gilt lacing at the shoulders, 5 buttons down each side of the front, closed sleeves (no cuffs) with 3 buttons at each wrist, single-loop gilt lacing; all buttons cast with "GAR" cypher; 2 panels at the back; inside lined with dark green (or gray?) twill-weave cotton, a diagonal slit pocket at each breast, sleeves lined with white cotton with blue and gray pin stripes.
