Description: 
Dark blue wool short-waisted officer's double-breasted mess coat with double collar and lapels; epaullette attachments at the shoulders; 3 buttons down each side, with 1 center fastener at the stomach; closed sleeves (no cuffs) with gilt band around each wrist; 3 panels at the back; lined with red twill-weave silk, breast lightly padded and quilted, horizontal slit pockets at each breast.
