Description:
Dark blue wool double-breasted campaign coat of the Grand Army of the Republic; open stand-up collar; 5 buttons down each side of the front, right side horizontal slit watch pocket at the breast, a pocket at each hip with a flap; closed button with false cuffs, 2 buttons at each wrist; all buttons cast with "GAR"; the back is in 2 panels; coat lined with dark brown twill-weave cotton, sleeves lined with white cotton.
