Description:
Wrought silver coffee and tea service consisiting of a coffeepot, teapot, sugar bowl with lid and a creamer; octagonal, lantern-shaped bodies with long extended necks; rounded bases set on four scroll feet with acanthus leaves at the knees; convex bands at the shoulders; cast and applied octagonal stepped rims; octagonal domed lids with an octagonal balustrade finial; crisp engraving of foliate scrolls with japanesque figures and scenes on each of the eight segments of the bodies; eight diffent flowers engraved on the rounded bases; maker's marks on the bases.
