Description:
Wrought silver coffee and tea service consisting of a coffeepot, teapot, sugar bowl with lid and a creamer; inverted pear shaped bodies joined to molded, circular, stepped feet by die-rolled foliate scroll pedestals; applied, vertical die-rolled footrings; bodies flare to convex, stepped shoulders with die rolled foliate scrolled bands at the base and vertically applied, die-rolled foliate scroll rims; round, domed lids with hollow cast floral finials; c-curve hollow handles, made in vertical halves, circular in section, swelling towards crimped centers, with bulbous thumbpieces, a single upper terminal and a double lower terminal; engraved, "C. T. Pierson" in script in the center fronts; makers' marks on the bases, except for the coffeepot which has none.
