Description:
Rectangular convex metal (probably nickel silver) coffin plate with rounded corners, with engraved inscription reading "John Hopper DIED AUGUST 3, 1819 Aged 85 Years 3 Months."; four holes punched at each side of plate to fasten plate to surface.
