Bronze struck medal with obverse showing nude female bust at center, labelled "ADSPICE" above, flanked by male head facing left, labelled "RECPICE," and female head facing right, labelled "PROSPICE"; legend around border within scalloped rim: "COLLEGII URBIS NOV EBORAC SIGILLUM/MDCCCXLVII." Reverse bears date within central roundel "1847/1947"; legend within scalloped border: "One Hundred Years of Public Higher Education." Square cream-colored cardboard case.
