The subject was the son of Daniel and Mary (Brown) Seabrook of Middletown, N.J., and the brother of Nicholas Brown Seabrook. He was a militia officer and a member of the New Jersey Assembly during the American Revolution. This miniature portrait of him was a gift to the Society from his great-grandson.
