Description:
Light grey silk satin ribbon printed in black; depicts allegorical female figure seated on piece of ship wreck with sailing gallion in distance at left, inscription above: "TO COMMEMORATE/THE/BATTLE OF YORKTOWN,/October 10th, 1781."; beneath are portraits of George Washington and William Harrison with inscription above: "IN HONOR/Of the Founders and Defenders of/AMERICAN/INDEPENDENCE."; portrait of Harrison within oval medallion surrounded by floral wreath; scroll above inscribed: "SEN.Wm.HARRISON"; inscription above and below portrait: "ITS THE STAR SPANGLED BANNER O'LONG MAY IT WAVE,/O'ER THE LAND OF THE FREE & THE HOME OF THE BRAVE./Son of BENJ.A.HARRISON,one of the Signers of the Declaration/of INDEPENDENCE July 4th 1776."; vignette with log cabin with American flag and farmer plowing field at bottom.
