White linen cover for Navy dress hat; oval in shape with two buttonholes in lower band that correspond with chin strap buttons on hat.
Gallery Label:
According to the accession records, this cover belongs to a hat worn by the donor as a lieutenant (jg) in the U.S. Navy during World War II. Holloway's uniform coat, trousers, overcoat, shoes, and other accessories are also in the N-YHS Collection.
