Description:
Mahogany cradle with hood with faceted top, cut-out handles on either side, arched foot board, and molding around edge of base; raised on shaped rockers.

According to the accession records, this cradle was used by members of the Verplank family, beginning with Judge Daniel Crommelin Verplanck (b. 1762), from the mid-eighteenth century until the mid-twentieth century.
