Description:
"Crandall's District School Blocks" with eight painted, articulated figures including seven students, a schoolmaster, his desk, a dog, a "DUNCE" sign and five books; figures fit into nine tongue and groove bases; all in a wooden box with metall inges across the back; paper label applied to lid inscribed, "CRANDALL'S IMPROVED BUILDING BLOCKS./ CRANDALL'S/ DISTRICT SCHOOL/ PATENTED FEBRUARY 5th 1867 RE-ISSUED MARCH 30th 1875 & MAY 4th 1875./ PATENTED OCTOBER11th 1875. PATENTED JANUARY 25th 1876."
