Description:
Wrought and seamed Colonial Revival creamer; oval, fluted body with straight sides; flat shoulder raised to an extended, serrated pouring rim; cast, squared strap handle; all over bright-cut engraving, foliate scroll bands around the base and top of the body, wheel turned design around the edge of the shoulder and the rim; shield-shaped reserves on the front and rear of the body, front reserve engraved, "J T A" in script; retailer's marks on the base.

This creamer was given to Julia Anna Toller (1847-1937) and Johnson Lingston De Peyster, parents of the donor, by Mary Toller (d. 1884) at the time of their marriage.
