Description:
Colorless blown and cut lead glass decanter with pressed glass stopper; bulbous form with sloping shoulders cut with flutes at base and wide flutes at shoulders, tapered neck with three applied rings and flanged lip, and flat base with polished pontil mark; pressed stopper with ribbed mushroom-shaped top above round knop.
Gallery Label:
Stylistically, this jug seems to date to 1800-1820, but the accession records dates the decanter to the late 19th century.
