Description:
Steel, brass, and silver deringer; scroll-engraved frame and breech of barrel; silver-plate brass frame and steel barrel; stamped marks on barrel; leather belt holster with dome-shaped brass fastener for front flap, and belt loop on back.
Gallery Label:
This deringer and belt holster were among the personal mementoes of Joseph Bradley, a Civil War veteran who enlisted in the 5th New York Regiment of Volunteer Infantry in 1861, and became the chaplain of the 10th Cavalry by 1864.
