Description:
Colorless pressed glass dish; circular form with plain edge; seven ovals (egg shape) arranged around edge of well, on textured ground; pattern of repeating ovals around interior rim, on textured ground (Lee-Rose 890).
Gallery Label:
While the size of this plate fits the definition of a toddy plate, that definition, as invented by Lee and Rose, is so vague that the less specific designation as a dish was chosen, and only examples identified by Lee and Rose have been called toddy plates.
