Gallery Label:
The subject graduated from Bellevue Hospital Medical College in 1866 and practiced medicine at 490 West End Avenue, New York. This miniature portrait of him was a gift to the Society from his daughter. The initials "AN" engraved on the front of the gold locket belong to the subject's wife, Anna Newton.
