Description:
Pair of gold or gold-plate earrings in fitted leather case; earrings comprise 3 initials "A.I.E" or "E.A.I." in stylized cypher; brown leather case lined with black velvet and pale green satin; maker's mark printed underneath lid of case (illegible except for "Ponte Vecchio"); push-button clasp.

This object probably was worn by Adelaide L. Livingston (1852-1909), ancestor of the donor.
