Description:
Ten small pearls surrounding a larger, central pearl, mounted in a gold setting. Domed, square, blue velvet ring box with a metal hinge and clasp; lined with maroon velvet on the base and white satin in the lid.
Gallery Label:
This engagement ring was given by Luman Reed (1785-1836) to Mary (Polly) Barker (1786-1869), prior to their marriage in the First Dutch Reformed Church of West Coxsackie, New York on April 30, 1808.
