embroidered: on circular patch: "22"
Description:
Pair of officer's epaulets; rigid, gold lace-covered strap without button; gilded brass crescent surrounding domed circular patch with "22" embroidered in black on medium blue wool ground at center and embroidered border with diagonal stripes; two layers of gold bullion fringe, the outermost measuring approximately 3 1/4 inches in length and 1/4 inch in diameter; padded yellow silk lining and elongated metal hook fastener.
Gallery Label:
A note found with these epaulets indicates that they were worn by Captain Thomas Fisher, uncle of the donor.
