Description:
Pair of gold New York State militia lieutenant's shoulder knots; single gold or silver bar at the outer end, "N.Y." across a circular patch at the middle, buttons near collar end missing; reverse lined with dark blue felt, witha free tab, felt loop at the middle and metal rimmed eyelet at collar end in both the board and the tab.
Gallery Label:
These epaulettes were probably worn by Captain Sidney Gilder De Kay, who was in the New York State militia. The Society also owns the other items to this uniform.
