Description:
Black nylon "Invincible" eyeglass frames; almost-square lens frames connected by slightly curved bridge; straight temples with bend near ends; small metal ornament on outside of each temple bar near hinge. Glasses fit around retailer's display card.
Gallery Label:
The "Invincible" eyeglass frame debuted in 1963 and has reappeared more recently as a "retro" look. Made of nylon, the frames are virtually unbreakable. Most frames are no longer made of nylon because the material can not be heated and it is hard to put lenses in nylon frames.
